The wines
of Dosnon & Lepage are neither fined nor filtered, and the expression of the
fruit seems particularly pure in the rosé. Aged in Puligny-Montrachet barrels, the
Récolte Rose is a pure pinot noir harvested by hand and made by blending rather
than by saignée, which they find to
produce overly heavy wines. Fragrant and plummy, this wine balances deep
fruit flavors with an elegant structure, feeling delicate and lively on the
palate. The wine is salmon pink with a large bead on the surface of the disk
formed by rapid and continuous bubbles, and the aromas consist of red fruits
pulling grenadine and strawberry. The first impression on the mouth is of
freshness, extending to taste the nuances of young red fruit with a feeling
slightly vinous on a final free.
