Perrier Jouet, Brut Rose

Perrier-Jouet was established in 1811 in the town of Epernay and soon became globally successful.  In 1854 Perrier-Jouet became the first house to release a dry Champagne, at a time when the wines were prevailingly sweet, and by this action Charles Perrier was essentially the creator of the Brut designation that is the predominant style today.  Perrier Jouet Brut Rose is a very pale pink wine, with soft fruit aromas of strawberries and currants.  The palate is firm with a good acid backbone and an excellent freshness.
